We play the &#8216;black and blues,'&#8221; Hammer said of the five-song EP.<\/p>\n<div style=\"float: left; width: 50%; margin-left: -15px; margin-right: 35px; padding: 15px 15px 15px 15px; background-color: #eeeeee;\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/playlists\/167332906&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\" height=\"375\" frameborder=\"no\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-top: 25px;\"><div class=\"magee-testimonial-box   \" is=\"\"><div class=\"testimonial-content\"><div class=\"testimonial-quote\">&#8220;In listening to &#8216;Let It Burn,&#8217; it&#8217;s not hard to hear and feel that Adam is part of that small few who find music as an extension of part of himself that he is willing to share with those who listen.&#8221;<\/div><\/div> <div class=\"testimonial-vcard style1\"> <div class=\"testimonial-avatar\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/tattooedfolk.com\/music\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Kvsc_square.png\" class=\"img-circle\"><\/div> <div class=\"testimonial-author\"><h4 class=\"name\" style=\"text-transform: uppercase;color: #000;\">Fretz Program<\/h4><div class=\"title\">88.1 FM KVSC<\/div><\/div> <\/div><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Adam Hammer &amp; the Impact&#8217;s signature &#8220;black and blues&#8221; sound is what happens when you put an alternative acoustic singer\/songwriter together with a traditional folk and blues musician, a bassist from a screamcore band and a jam band drummer who\u2019s more often a hardcore guitarist.<\/p>\n<p>Hammer\u2019s side project band for the EP features Dave Cofell on harmonica and slide guitar, Cody \u201cScribbles\u201d Jergenson on bass and Jon Schulte on drums.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I had these drop-tuned, bluesy songs that captured more of my dark side and they didn\u2019t exactly fit with my singer\/songwriter stuff like &#8216;Starshine&#8217; and &#8216;Broken Like You&#8217; planned for &#8216;Broken Like You,'&#8221; Hammer said.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Let It Burn&#8221; has received airplay throughout the Midwest while bridging genre boundaries. Commercial rock radio, blues programs, independent radio, alternative radio&#8230; all have given &#8220;Let It Burn&#8221; a spin.<\/p>\n<p>The songs were recorded at Hammer\u2019s studio, Hammered House Productions, and Rockhouse Productions (rock legend Bobby Vee&#8217;s studio) in St. Joseph, Minn.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Let It Burn&#8221; was the first of two releases from Hammer planned for 2011-12.
